I bought this on eBay as a perfect project car. It was really cheap because it had been painted in a thick lime green paint and the finish was awful.
After a dip in the alcohol bath the paint stripped fully off leaving the original plastic body completely unscathed. Then it was off to the painter for a classic red paint job.
I painted the interior in an off-white to try and get a cream leather look of the 50s. then painted the steering wheel and added some chrome touches using a molotow chrome marker pen. Everything went back together easily. I left the option to have the roof on or off.
I painted the driver with a jeans and leather jacket look then added him into the driving seat.
